Apprentice Recitals

                 Founded in 1996, this unique program provides

                 comprehensive opera education and performance training,

                 as well as vital professional experience, for young singers

                 just beginning their musical careers. These qualified

                 Apprentices attend weekly classes and receive daily

                 individual coaching. Singers assume small roles, take part

                 in ensembles, and cover principal roles in opera and

                 musical theater productions. Exceptionally capable and

                 very dedicated, each Apprentice will present a free public

                 Recital. The performance dates include: June 30, July 7,

                 14, 28, and August 4. Every Apprentice Recital begins at

                 12pm at the Paramount Theatre. Located at

                 Charlottesville's popular Downtown Mall, these Recitals

                 promise to make your weekly Tuesdays enjoyable.
